Hi, I am Eduardo Leanez and would like to thank you for taking this time to visit my website. Here you will find out information about me, my projects, and my artistic aspirations.

Born in Venezuela, I discovered my passion for the performing arts at a very young age when I started to participate in the musical and theatrical shows at school; it was also in those years when I became part of my school chorus and performed in various events in and outside the school.

Later on I did some more theater in high school.

When the time came to go to college, I decided to study Aeronautical Engineering, given my excellent skills in math and physics. Five years later, having graduated college, I went to the well-known La Casa del Artista de Venezuela to train as an actor. I debuted in Leoncio Martinez’s El Salto Atras, a satire of Venezuelan attitudes toward race and class. A few more acting opportunities followed until, in 2000, I moved to New York.

In New York I’ve experienced a lot of ons and offs as an actor, and a lot of new training to grow as a performer, writer, and filmmaker. Highlights include my participation in The Dramaloft’s Ground Zero, a collective theater piece in response to the events of 9/11/01; and Delivery Boy, my award-winning one-man show about the life of a hard-working young immigrant.

Like Roberto, my character in Delivery Boy, I really started to grow in New York City, not just as an artist but also as a human being.

Muchisimas Gracias, and I hope you find these pages interesting!
